About Me

Katherine Clark
Hello!  My name is Katherine Clark. Welcome to Making Disciples at Home.  Let me introduce myself and give you some background information to help you get to know me.   I am a pastor's wife and homeschooling mother of 4.

|  EDUCATION  |
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN with a BA in education with a Lutheran teaching certification.  After finishing my BA, I moved to Chicago and attended Wheaton College to learn about spiritual formation and discipleship and earned my Master's degree in Educational Ministries.  Though I trained to teach science and music in grades 1-6, in moving to St. Louis while my husband attended seminary, I taught computers and math for grades 5-8 at a private Lutheran school half time while also serving as their youth director for three years.  During that time I also earned a Biblical Counseling Certificate in Women's Ministry from the American Association of Christian Counselors.

|  FAMILY and HOMESCHOOLING  |  Following my "career", I chose to stay home with our growing family and put my education to work educating our children!  What a blessing.  It is my highest goal to raise up a new generation of disciples.  I feel strongly that we cannot answer the call the of the Great Commission to "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you," (Matt. 28) unless we STAY and make disciples at home, right in our families, first.  By so doing- we multiply our efforts and raise up workers for the plentiful harvest.  One thing we have felt called to do to assist in those efforts is to homeschool our children (currently through 5th grade).  With my background, it was natural.  Homeschooling has provided us the opportunity to bless our children with access to a Biblical worldview, among other things.  I do believe that homeschooling is a calling issued to some- but discipling (raising disciples) is a call issued to EVERY Christian parent.

|  SPIRITUAL LIFE  |  I am so privileged to not remember a time in my life when I did not know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus loves me and that He died to forgive my sins.  I have had a passion for His Word since I was a child and have the honor of being married to a pastor.  In my marriage and my role as a pastor's wife, I have the opportunity not only to continually be challenged in the Word, but many chances to minister to others with His Word.  I have enjoyed leading several Beth Moore Bible studies, the Truth Project, and most recently, I attended training to lead Precept Upon Precept Inductive Bible studies.

I have personally benefited GREATLY from my experiences working with a Christian Life Coach and look forward to the opportunity to work with you- as the Lord leads.
